Primary schoolteacher: There are still villages in this region where children have to walk 5 kilometres to get to school.
Innovation evangelist: We should install Wi-Fi on their route so they can take online classes while walking to school. Get fit and get educated—that should be the tagline.
3. Livelihoods
Frontline worker: A report says that one-third of daily wage labourers are unable to find work.
Entrepreneur: We should have something similar to Swiggy, where you can order workers on an app and they can find a job—it should be called ‘Livelihoods on Wheels’.
4. Health
ASHA worker: In some areas, people have to travel 30 kilometres to get medicines for a cold or fever. And there is no guarantee of finding a doctor.
Disruptor: I’ve been thinking about launching a telemedicine app for a long time. It will require INR 500 crore, but it will solve the issue.
5. Lack of resources
Teacher: Students have to sit on the floor as they don’t have tables and chairs in the classrooms.
Tech optimist: That’s such a sustainable and eco-friendly learning environment. It should trend on Instagram—we’ll call it #soiltosuccess.
