Rituparna (they/she) is a queer rights activist and storyteller from Assam working at the intersection of education and gender justice. She is the founder and director of Akam Foundation and played a key role in establishing the Chandraprabha Saikiani Feminist Library & Resource Centre. Rituparna currently serves as the associate vice chairperson of the State Transgender Welfare Board, Assam, and represents Northeast India on the National Council for Transgender Persons, Government of India.
