Sarala Khaling
Sarala is the regional director for ATREE’s northeast office. Prior to this, she worked for WWF and Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund, engaging with civil society groups across Bhutan, northeast India, and eastern Nepal working on conservation and sustainable development. For the past nine years she has been leading ATREE’s conservation and livelihood efforts in northeast India. Sarala is a biologist by training, and has interests in ecology, ecosystem services, and in fields that interface nature and human well-being.
