Praveen S is the is the Manager of Disaster Preparedness and Response at Humane Society International/India (HSI/India). He has a master’s in disaster management, and has led efforts in disaster risk reduction, emergency response, and capacity building across India. Prior to HSI/India, Praveen coordinated inter-agency humanitarian responses at Sphere India and worked on disaster management plans with the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority. He is dedicated to pioneering animal-inclusive disaster management practices and building resilient communities that protect both people and animals during crises.
