1.
My nerves are frayed and I feel too shaken to work around people. It’s a wake-up-9.15-and-be-at-my-desk-by-9.30 kind of day.
2.
My cat is sitting on my lap and everyone knows you can’t move a cat that’s chosen your lap, so I’m planning on working from my sofa all day.
3.
I have a donor report due in less than 24 hours and I cannot have meltdowns in public.

4.
My headphones are broken, and I need them for a range of tasks: attending calls and meetings, playing white noise for focus, and for signalling to the team that no, I cannot join them for a cup of tea for the tenth time today.
5.
My dog ate my metro card and then threw up on my laptop.
6.
Out of our two mandatory in-office days I have already done one and am still recovering from all the socialisation.
7.
It’s Friday, which as everyone knows is mini-Saturday, and I intend to do a Lord of the Rings marathon while working.
