Failure Files

At some point in our lives, we’ve all failed—publicly, privately, personally, and even professionally. And though the process of failing can be painful, it provides an opportunity for reflection and growth. Most importantly, it helps us build personal resilience.

When working on complex social issues, failing is inevitable. Yet, most discussions around failure happen in hushed tones and behind closed doors. Failure Files—conceived in partnership with Acumen Academy—hopes to change this by creating a space for candid conversations around failure, and the lessons that emerge from it.

This series features articles by social sector leaders, where they share their struggles, reflect upon what went wrong, and highlight what they learned. They show us that the path to resilience cannot be built on success alone—failure is a necessary condition for it.

And we’re not doing this alone. Our partners on this mission— Acumen Academy, Admitting Failure/ Fail Forward, Alliance Magazine, Atma, ANDE India, EduMentum, ImpactAlpha, India Fellow, Mantra4Change, NextBillion, School for Social Entrepreneurs India, SELCO Foundation, Teach for India, TFIx, The/Nudge-CSI, and UnLtd India—are helping us expand the conversation, and reach new audiences.
