Health: India has vaccinated 58 lakh health and frontline workers against COVID-19 as of Sunday, February 7th, 2021.
Of this 53.18 lakh are health workforce and 4.86 lakh are frontline workers. Over 1.16 lakh vaccination sessions have been held so far since the start of the vaccination drive on January 16th, 2021.
Twelve states have vaccinated more than one lakh people each. Uttar Pradesh alone accounts for 6.74 lakh of all vaccinated people. The other states include 3.79 lakh people from Bihar, 2.92 lakh from Kerala, 3.88 lakh from Karnataka, 3.42 lakh from Madhya Pradesh, 4.73 lakh from Maharashtra, 1.66 lakh from Tamil Nadu, 1.09 lakh from Delhi, 4.46 lakh from Gujarat, and 3.54 lakh from West Bengal.
Recipients will receive the second dose of the vaccine starting February 13th, four weeks after their first shot.
