Social Justice: Complaints of atrocities against Scheduled Castes can now be registered with the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) through its Online Grievance Management Portal launched on April 14th—the birth anniversary of B R Ambedkar.
The portal—which is linked to the NCSC’s website, will allow users to submit audio and video files as evidence or as the grievance itself, in any language. Users will have to register on the portal using their mobile numbers and other personal details, in order to file their complaints. They can then track the progress of their complaints on the site itself.
In the next two weeks, the government will also launch Android and iOS compatible mobile apps that will supplement the website, announced Vijay Sampla, Chairman, NCSC.
The portal was developed by the NCSC in collaboration with the Bhaskaracharya Institute for Space Applications and Geoinformatics (BISAG-N), a centre of excellence under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
