Reti Bai is associated with Korku Mazdoor Adhikar Manch, an informal collective of the Korku people in Madhya Pradesh. She has mobilised and led the women’s struggle for MNREGS payment and farmers’ struggles in the state and has helped form a self-help group in her native village of Awaliya. Reti Bai works with Spandan Samaj Seva Samiti on spreading awareness around government schemes and is vital to the poshan maah (nutrition month), an initiative to promote a balanced diet among the Korku people.
